For many years deadly storms have ravaged the land and each year a beautiful young girl would be thrown into the sea to appease the Sea God and to serve as his bride. This year the beautiful Cheong is chosen as the bride, but she is the beloved of Joon. When Cheong is taken, Joon’s sister Mina jumps in the sea before Cheong is thrown in and takes her place.

I really wanted to love this book, but it fell short of my expectations. This is the type of story I normally love. I did love the ending so that’s why I ended up giving it 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 stars.
