The Girls I’ve Been by Tess Sharpe

The Girls I’ve Been

This is book 1 of The Girls I’ve Been.

Nora O’Malley is at the bank when a robbery takes place and she becomes one of the hostages along with her girlfriend and her best friend. Nora is the daughter of a con-artist who made her change her name, looks and personality for every mark. Then her mother fell for the guy she was trying to con. Nora did the only thing she could do, she got away and moved in with her half sister Lee.

All of her experiences, the girls she’s been, have made Nora tough as nails. She makes a plan to thwart the bank robbers’ plan and executes it perfectly with the help of her girlfriend.

Nora is a complex character and you get a brief glimpse of who she’s been, what she’s had to endure in the past. I really enjoyed this book, and loved the idea and execution.

I saw on Amazon the sequel will come out this year, and I can’t wait for it! And, this will be adapted for the screen, squee! I’m really looking forward to that as well!
