Holly Black takes us back to Elfhame with this book about Prince Oak, the little brother of Jude, now all grown up to a youth of 17 and Suren (Wren) who spent years in the human world. Wren narrates the book and she’s not very keen on the charming Prince Oak to whom she was once betrothed.
I didn’t like Wren, she just didn’t pull me into the story like Jude did in the other novels of Elfhame, which I loved! I found her a little whiny and maybe I’m just getting to old for faery stories and young adult novels!
