This is book 19 of the Camper & Criminals series.
The book is written from the point of view of a handyman in the Daniel Boone National Park. The main employer is called Maybelline West, but she goes by Mae, from Happy Trails Campground. The protagonist ends up as the main suspect in a murder, the victim was killed with one of their tools.
Mae West and her nosy friends the Laundry Club Ladies investigate to find the real killer.
I listened to the audiobook of this, but it just couldn’t keep me entertained for long. Thankfully it was a short book. I think I will pass on the rest of the series.
